This place is huge, so the list of things to do is pretty impressive. It’s more than just a building—it’s an experience.
From special exhibits to museums, art galleries, and even Seoul Fashion Week, DDP is a must-see.
Plus, the surrounding Dongdaemun History & Culture Park is open 24/7, making it the perfect spot to unwind anytime.
Exhibits
The exhibits change quite frequently and they list their upcoming schedule on the website. While I was there the exhibit on display was all about the Pink Bear, Bellygom.
Honestly, I had no clue who this pink bear was at first, but the joy it brought to everyone else was infectious. Watching people line up for selfies with a giant Bellygom was a fun surprise.
The Best Photo Spots at DDP Seoul
If you’re into photography (or just need that perfect IG shot), here are a few must-capture spots:

SeouLight is this amazing multimedia light show that happens at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP)—one of Seoul’s coolest, futuristic spots.
If you’re heading to DDP in the evening, this is something you do not want to miss. Imagine the whole building coming to life with vibrant colors, moving lights, and digital projections—it’s like stepping into another world.
They use the curves and metallic surface of DDP to project these mind-blowing light designs that literally flow across the building.
The whole thing looks like it’s alive, with colors and patterns dancing across the exterior. It’s mesmerizing!

I can’t wait to come back and see what special exhibit they have next time. It was such a change of pace from the history, palaces, temples, and other museums I had visited on this trip.

The SeouLight show transforms the plaza into a visual wonderland, with breathtaking light projections that dance across the futuristic curves of the building.
This spectacle typically starts around 8 PM and creates a magical atmosphere that’s perfect for photos or simply unwinding after a day of sightseeing.
