If you’re headed to Seoul, there’s one place that needs to be on your itinerary—Myeongdong. This bustling neighborhood is a haven for K-beauty lovers, foodies, and shopaholics alike.
From the iconic Olive Young flagship store to the quirky charm of underground shopping malls, there are endless things to do in Myeongdong.
Whether you’re hunting for the latest skincare products, indulging in street food, or customizing sneakers at Nike Seoul, you’ll find yourself captivated by the energy and variety packed into this vibrant district.
In this guide, I’ll take you through all the must-visit spots, hidden gems, and a few of my personal favorites.

Things to Buy in Myeongdong
Olive Young
If you’re into K-beauty, Olive Young is a must-visit. Their flagship store in Myeongdong is basically a skincare heaven.
From face masks to serums and everything in between, Olive Young has it all and should be on your list of things to do in Myeogndong.
Warning: it get’s crowded s brace yourself! There are many other locations around the city but this one deserves at least a stop into!
Underground shopping mall
Want to save a bit of money? Head to the Myeongdong Underground Shopping Mall. It’s a treasure trove of affordable finds, from clothes and accessories to skincare and even snacks.
You can literally get anything here—socks, bags, phone cases, supplements—you name it, they’ve got it.
It’s open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and easily accessible via Subway Line 2 (Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station, Exit 7). If you’re shopping on a budget, this is your spot.
Nike Seoul
Looking to get your hands on personalized Nike gear? Nike Seoul in Myeongdong is where it’s at.
Tips: They will give out 100 tickets daily and people start to line up around 8 AM. Each ticket gets in two people!
These tickets get you into the store where you can design hats, shirts, etc with patches, tape, or iron-ons to make it custom to you!
HBAF Almonds
This place is insane. As I do when I get overwhelmed I overspend (don’t follow in my footsteps).
You can find these Almonds all over in so many stores but going to the main store is an experience
They’ve got so many unique flavors—Honey Butter Almond, Baked Corn Almond, Garlic Bread Almond, Tteok-Bokki Almond, and even Hot & Spicy Chicken Almond.
My personal faves are Black Sesame Almond and Wasabi Almond, but feel free to try them all! Just a heads-up: it’s easy to go overboard here (don’t ask me how I know).
11 AM to 11 PM

K – Mecca
If you’re a K-Pop fan, then you have to visit K-Mecca. This store is packed with K-Pop merchandise—from albums to posters to collectibles of your favorite idols.
It’s open daily from 10 AM to 11 PM, so you’ve got plenty of time to get your fangirl (or fanboy) on.
Emis
If you’re looking to add some K-Pop-inspired style to your wardrobe, Emis is the place to go. This store specializes in everyday wear and casual outfits that K-Pop idols have been spotted wearing.
From oversized hoodies to trendy accessories, you’ll feel like you’re stepping into a music video. It’s quickly becoming one of the most popular spots for K-Pop fashion in Seoul.

12 Floor Daiso
If you have ever been to Daiso you know its an experience. You never know what you are going to find. So imagine a 12 floor version of this store!
You’ll find a lot of affordable, quirky items perfect for gifts or travel essentials. Trust me, you could easily spend an hour wandering through the endless aisles.
Things to See & Do in Myeongdong
Nanta theater
For a different and very entertaining activity, check out NANTA Theatre in Myeongdong.

It’s located on the third floor of the UNESCO building along Myeongdong Walking Street and is known for its comedy cooking shows which are performed several times a day, seven days a week.
Dotori or Acorn Caricature
Everyday 10 am – 10:30 pm
Stop by Dotori Caricature for a quick and fun souvenir. They can draw you in a minute, or even create a caricature of your pet from a photo.
Prices range from 7,000 KRW to 9,000 KRW, making it a cute and affordable memory of your trip.
Juno Hair
If you’re feeling like some self care is needed, Juno Hair is a popular salon in Myeongdong.
K-Pop idols are known to frequent Juno Hair, and they specialize in trendy cuts and styles. You’ll need to make a reservation, but if you’re in the mood to treat yourself, this is the place to do it.
May Clinic
Another self care option, skincare focused is May Clinic. They offer a full range of services, including Botox, Fillers, Ultherapy, Microneedling, and Facial Rejuvenation.
Pro Tip: Make sure to book in advance, as this place is super popular with both locals and travelers!

Myeongdong Cathedral
If you need a break from the busy Myeongdong Shopping streets, head to Myeongdong Cathedral.
This beautiful Gothic-style church is not only a historic site but also a peaceful spot to relax and reflect.

For a fun and educational stop, check out the Bank of Korea Money Museum. This free museum offers a look into the history of Korean currency

EMyeongdong Walking Street Police Station has two adorable cartoon policeman and policewoman statues right outside. This cute spot is worth a quick photo on your way through Myeongdong.
Things to Eat in Myeongdong
Myeongong Kyoja
You can’t visit Myeongdong without stopping by Myeongdong Kyoja for their famous knife-cut noodles (kal-guksu).
Night Street Food Market
The Myeongdong night markets are an experience in themselves. You’ll find rows and rows of food stalls selling everything from hotteok (Korean pancakes) to spicy tteokbokki.
If you’re feeling adventurous, try the grilled lobster tails or giant potato spirals.
Delly Manjoo
You can’t leave Myeongdong without trying Delly Manjoo—little corn-shaped cakes filled with creamy custard.
They’re best when fresh off the grill, and the smell alone will draw you in. You’ll find it right next to Myeongdong Station (Subway Line 4), and it’s open from 8:00 AM until they sell out.
Sulbing
When you need a sweet treat, head over to Sulbing for some classic bingsu (shaved ice).
This milk-based dessert comes with various toppings like red beans, coconut flakes, or condensed milk.

10:30 AM to 11 PM
Hwa Tteok Original Gopchang Tteokbokki Myeongdong Restaurant
For some authentic street food with a twist, head to Hwa Tteok Original Gopchang Tteokbokki.
This spot serves tteokbokki, but with gopchang (small intestines) added for a unique flavor combo.
Pro Tip: Pair your meal with a cold drink for a fiery yet satisfying experience!

Chicken and Beer Street
For a true Korean-style fried chicken experience, head to Chicken and Beer Street in Myeongdong.
You’ll find a bunch of restaurants serving up crispy fried chicken paired with cold beer (a combo known as “chimaek”). There are so many options to chose from, my favorite is Daily Beer.
Pro Tip: Visit at night when the street comes alive with both locals and tourists enjoying this beloved Korean comfort food.

The easiest way to get to Myeongdong is by taking Subway Line No. 4 and exiting at Myeong-dong Station (Exit 8, 6, or 7).
